Job Title: Procurement SupervisorGeneral Summary:The Procurement Supervisor will negotiate pricing and help select approved suppliers for requested items, support supply chain activities, supervise shipping/receiving personnel, oversee shipping/receiving freight logistics/activities, and oversee material storage.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage the Supplier Performance Rating Program, direct strategic planning for the Procurement Department, maintain procurement standards and documentation for ISO-9001, TS16949 & ISO14001, locate qualified vendors for requested items, and maintain item and vendor masters.
Input, process, and expedite orders in the MRP system, approve purchase requisitions, and place orders.
File claims on damaged incoming goods, fill out “reject” forms on returned goods, and arrange disposition of non-conforming materials.
Manage waste disposal, schedule hazardous waste shipments.
Manage testing and storing of potentially hazardous materials.
Seek and implement continuous cost reduction activities with the supply chain. In the form of, but not limited to lean activities, consignment, Kanban, new materials, vendor managed inventory, and supplier selection.
Track and evaluate metal market trends and provide guidance.
Supervise shipping/receiving personnel.
Secondary Job Functions:Clarify discrepancies between Purchasing and Accounts Payable.
Find new materials, suppliers and processes, which may bring a benefit to Winsert and work with department managers on their evaluation.
Manage inbound freight/freight carriers, and track supplier on-time delivery and premium freight.

Proficient computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, TCM

Experience working with MRP systems.
Valid driver’s license.
Must get along with others. Physical Demands:Must be able to actively move through office space to work with staff.
Vision must be correctable to allow reading/viewing of documents and computer screen.
Hearing must be correctable to allow extensive use of telephone and voicemail as well as participate in discussions among large groups.
Mobility and coordination must allow participation in shipping and receiving activities.
