JOB SUMMARY : Manage daily operations of the PALS Program; responsible for the supervision of full and part time staff; participate in the development of the program;

monitor program budgets; provide direct service to children and parents participating in the program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Grant implementation and report writing
• Coordinate and implement program policies and procedures
• Perform appropriate file reviews
• Supervision of staff
• Participate in program development and planning
• Provide training about domestic violence and the impact on children through speaking engagements
• Monitor program budget
• Participate in community education as appropriate
• Work closely with DCP&P via the PH Domestic Violence Liaison program
• Provision of parenting education / counseling
• On call responsibilities
• Assist in the development of meaningful training for staff
• Provide oversight re : the gathering of standardized assessment information (may include administration and / or scoring of assessments, the review, analyzation and documentation of data as well as the tracking and reporting of statistics)
• Possible supervision of interns
• Review client satisfaction surveys; implement appropriate changes

Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology with Licensure, or Master’s Degree or Board Certification in one of the Creative Arts Therapy Disciplines, plus two years of experience in supervision and management.
• Experience with children and domestic violence preferred.
• Creative Arts therapeutic background desirable.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS NEEDED :

• Valid driver’s license required;
• Licensure with Social Work or Psychology degree;
• Board Certification (or Master’s Degree) in one of the Creative Arts Therapy Disciplines

MANDATED PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS : Providence House is a 24-hour residential program, as such requires staffing at all times.

When accepting a position with this agency it is important to know that the regular shift at the time of hiring is subject to change during the course of your employment, and that at times of staff emergencies or special events you may be required to fill shifts other than (instead of) your regular shift.

This may include holidays.
