Gastroenterology Associates, PC
is seeking a Medical Office Assistant in our Manassas Office. to join our team and to help drive patient success in our community. We are searching for a passionate Full Time – Medical Office Assistant that draws their joy from giving care to others – someone who understands patient vulnerability and their own ability to impact someone’s experiences and make them great.

  • This position is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, with no nights or weekends!

What you will do:

  • Greet patients and visitors, assessing their needs and direct them appropriately.
  • Answer phone as needed.
  • Verify and/or enter all patient demographic information in the EMR.
  • Check for necessary referrals.
  • Have appropriate forms completed, signed, and assemble patient charts.
  • Schedule patients for office visits, procedures, and other x-rays and tests as requested.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances at time of visit.
  • Confirm all patient office visits and procedures which have been scheduled for the next day.
  • Manage and update patient records.
  • Maintain the front desk and reception areas.
  • Capable and able to travel and perform job duties at other Practice Sites. Must have reliable transportation.


What you bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Prior experience working in a front office capacity preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
