JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES -
o Investigate and research deductions and short-pay circumstances across multiple businesses.
o Manage all customer facing and CertainTeed requirements related to Tax liabilities and exposure.
o Expand and develop knowledge of the business infrastructure to enable cross collaboration with Finance, Credit, Sales, Cash Application, and Customer Service across multiple businesses.
Strong mid to upper level communications required both internal and external.
o Work as needed with SAP / IT Business Process Center associates in an on-going effort to identify programmatic or systems methods that will advance automation efforts to replace various manual intensive processes.
o Assist in the liaison effort between Sales, Finance, Credit, and Cash Application in order to identify and resolve customer process issues and / or discrepancies and generate the appropriate data and reporting content to support conclusions.
o Assist in resolving unique, complex, and often data intense payment issues directly related to customer deals, on invoice discounting, back end programs, complete / incomplete shipments, or other drivers of price / rebate disputes leading to customer invoice and payment discrepancies.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Thorough understanding and competency regarding all Pricing functionalities in an SAP environment :
o Familiarity with Salesforce.com.
o Competency in applying SAP functionality related to Order-To-Cash and specifically the Pricing (Invoicing) and back-end (Rebate) component, or other related skill set(s).
o High proficiency and thirst for analytical problem solving, data manipulation, and significant investigative research.
o Excellent Excel skills and ability to work with complex spreadsheets, pivot tables, v / h look-up, etc.
o Excellent written / oral communication skills with capacity to support deduction patterns across multiple business units.
o Must be comfortable working with customer accounting groups, finance, and other program / rebate / pricing analysts at the end customer.
o Keen understanding of metric driven performance requirements and capability to apply process adjustments to improve overall efficiencies.
o Able to work with high-performance teams and leverage diversity to develop creative solutions to problems.

Qualifications -
This position encompasses a broad array of pricing related functions across CertainTeed. Responsibilities include all facets of advanced price administration competencies to support multiple Businesses within CertainTeed primarily in the area of deduction research, analysis, and reporting.
The position will require comprehensive knowledge of group operating procedures which includes a strong understanding of several pricing functions and systems.
The Pricing Deduction Analyst, Shared Services, will work with members of the CertainTeed Pricing teams as well as cross-functionally with Credit, Customer Master, Cash Application, BU Controllers, Tax, Sales, manufacturing, and key leaders to research, resolve, and reconcile customer opportunities related to deductions and rebate disputes which represent real or perceived less than perfect invoicing and rebate disbursements.
This position will also help drive the creation, standardization, and implementation of common policies, KPIs, metrics, and tracking across CertainTeed BUs as we continue to transform and harmonize key pricing processes.
This will also include coordination of CertainTeed Tax exposure accountabilities.
This position (candidate) will be required to apply understanding and application of the SAP ERP system capabilities combined with other tools (e.
g., Business Intelligence Tool (Qlikview), Business Pricing Tool (Price FX), GetPaid, and SalesForce) in order to deliver quick, efficient, and documented closure to sometimes complex pricing / rebate discrepancies.
Additionally, the candidate will apply key data collection techniques, analysis, and research methodologies in response to customer or internal stakeholder inquiries regarding deduction activity, price discrepancies, and other key issues related to imperfect business transactions which impact full payment of invoices and CertainTeed profitability.
