SUMMARY : Utility Switcher safely handles daily warehouse activities, prepares trailers, yard vehicles for processing and dispatching shipments.

Should organize the yard, inspect vehicles and may make minor repairs / clean trailers and other equipment. Checks incoming and outgoing equipment for their functionality, maintains / update a report of the daily activities.

Loads and unloads materials from truck as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE :

• Moves trailers and trucks as needed
• Moves and handles equipment around the yard
• Maintains order and cleanliness in the yard and in the work areas
• Inspects and conducts minor equipment repairs
• Keeps the equipment in a safe and proper working order
• Examines the functionality of incoming and outgoing equipment
• Creates, updates, and maintains inventories
• Operates the equipment in a safe manner
• Prepares equipment for loading and dispatching
• Processes materials for shipment
• Conducts timely trailer sanitization
• Coordinates with in loading and unloading trailer
• Prepares and maintaining a report of the daily activities
• Adheres to the health and safety protocols at all times
• Supports shipping / receiving / parts / supermarket departments as needed
