A Step Ahead Soccer is a mobile, soccer-based enrichment program operating throughout CT. Our goal is to help kids succeed. We use an interactive, adventure-based program built for preschool age kids around soccer. It is not the traditional soccer training scaled for preschool kids, but it is a custom built program built specifically for these young children. We provide our coaches with a complete curriculum to deliver our program in the most effective manner possible along with tips on how to mange groups of kids ages 2 to 5.

Our program focuses on making learning extremely enjoyable and thoroughly captivating. By helping Smart Scott, the Soccer-bot (our soccer ball) on his exciting adventures, children enhance their attention spans, imagination, and ability to follow instructions. Moreover, our approach ensures that children not only have a great time but also retain the skills they acquire.
Our approach encourages creativity, confidence, listening skills, cognition, social and emotional development, and physical activity while introducing preschool children to soccer in the best age-appropriate manner available.
Our goal is to help prepare kids for kindergarten while also encouraging an active lifestyle through an enrichment program based on soccer skills and storytelling.

A Step Ahead Soccer operates classes throughout the area in partnership with various Parks & Rec programs.
Job Description:
We are looking for Part-Time Coaches to join our weekend programming in the New Haven County area (Naugatuck, Oxford, West Haven, Shelton, Seymour). Each week the coach will lead the students on a great interactive adventure. Soccer skills and school readiness skills are built into each lesson. Storytelling and managing groups of kids ages 2 to 5 are the essential skills required. Soccer experience is an added bonus but is not required.
Training and a complete curriculum will be provided.
Pay is $22 per hour.
*Must Have a Cell Phone, Reliable Transportation, and Be Able to Pass a Background Check*
