Responsibilities

Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking a Senior QA engineer to help us deliver high-quality features within our cloud-based product. This is an opportunity to work embedded on a scrum team, collaborating closely with team members to ensure quality code is released.

This role is fully remote, though occasional meet-ups with team members in the area are expected to pass off shared testing hardware.

• Create and execute test plans for assigned work within the product. This includes backend APIs, frontend web and mobile applications, and hardware interactions.
• Collaborate with different groups within the product:
  • QA engineers to review test scripts and track bugs
  • Developers to discuss findings from testing
  • The Product Management team to foster excellent usability and meet customer needs
• Clearly and accurately document, and provide feedback, for issues or discrepancies identified.
• Abide by quality processes to ensure consistent, high-quality software releases.
• Participate in scrum team meetings (stand-ups, refinements, retrospectives, etc.).

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant experience
• Knowledge of QA methodologies and testing strategies
• 3 years experience testing web-based products
• Experience interacting with APIs using tools such as Postman
• Strong communication skills to interact with team members and describe product functionality
