Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Fiscal Assistant. As a Fiscal Assistant, your main responsibilites will include Payroll (biweekly), preparing client billing and transportation billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a professional setting and contribute to the success of our organization.
Duties:
- Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing calendars
- Access bills, checks, receipts and other documents.
- Verify financial and other date (e.g. tax identification numbers)
- Ensure all documents are properly signed and distributed
- Assist with data entry, filing, and organizing documents
- Coordinate meetings and appointments, including scheduling, preparing materials, and taking meeting minutes
- Support the team in preparing reports, presentations, and other documents
- Conduct research and gather information as needed
- Assist with event planning and coordination
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations
Experience:
- Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred but not required
-Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and financial transactions
-Familiarity with financial regulations, i.e. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
