Reports To: Plant Manager of Valley Enterprises, Inc.
Status: Full Time / Salary-Exempt (45-50 hours/week; additional hours as needed to support organization and individual goals).
Location: Muscle Shoals, Alabama
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Advanced organization skills
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent customer relation, communication, and team skills
- Basic understanding of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics
- Background in manufacturing or related manufacturing experience
- Associates Degree in related field or equivalent experience
Essential Job Functions
- Manage, inform, instruct, and discipline all production personnel.
- Maintain a timely and continuous production flow.
- Oversee training of new employees per the Training Requirements Form (TRF).
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including absence reports.
- Assist in all line and machine set-up, and production as necessary.
- Monitor weekly shipping requirements when scheduling/planning production activities; assist with shipping/receiving duties when necessary.
- Monitor quality and the process to the work instructions.
- Routinely run jobs with the intention of improving safety, the process, the quality of the product, and productivity (i.e. fill in for breaks).
- Communicate the safety, quality, and productivity expectations to production personnel.
- Material handling as needed.
- Assist in maintenance trouble shooting.
- Ensure that Safety Procedures and followed and ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform tasks and manage tasks with intent to meet expectations for throughput and scrap. Examples would be running production cells at or above the intended pieces per hour with less than 2% scrap.
- Test run new dies when requested.
