Job Summary: SAIC is seeking an organized and motivated Embedded Systems Engineer who will effectively support a fast-paced work environment with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division in Middleton, RI. You will be part of a collaborative team of multidiscipline.
Engineers and support technicians working to bring a variety of electrical designs from the early concept stage all the way through fabrication. The local Middletown office supports automated test equipment design, printed circuit board design (PCB), cable design, and acoustic system design.Support can vary from Research & Development to Production Support tailoring both skills and interests of the prospective employee to fill the role.
Location: Work is performed on site but allows for some remote/work at home. The on-site work is at 28 Jacome Way, Middletown, RI, and/or the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Newport.
Work Schedules: Flexible work schedule options are also available. If desired, engineers may partake in SAIC’s 9/80 schedule to have every other Friday off or a 4/10 schedule if desired.

More on the role: Our team is integral in developing present and leading edge USN weapons systems capabilities. You will need broad engineering skillsets, well-developed work habits, and an eagerness and enthusiasm for solving engineering challenges. Your projects will include the design, documentation and testing of a wide variety of electrical and electronic systems in the areas of undersea defensive systems, torpedo test equipment, automated test equipment (ATE), sonar electronics, other evolving tasking. You will have powerful computer, software, and test equipment resources at your disposal to allow you to be effective and efficient in your job.
