Job Title: Building EngineerLocation: Mattoon, ILPay Range: $ 23-26/hrWhat’s the Job?
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of building systems, including mechanical, plumbing, and electrical.
- Ensure all building operations adhere to safety and efficiency regulations and codes.
- Implement and manage an energy management program to optimize building systems for cost-effectiveness.
- Lead the development and execution of preventive maintenance plans to extend the lifespan of building equipment.
- Foster a safe and collaborative work environment by leading by example.
- Analyze complex building systems and develop innovative solutions to address any issues.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of experience (or equivalent combination).
- Universal CFC certification preferred, with additional certifications based on local/state requirements.
- Prior supervisory experience a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and climbing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to explore new solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and advanced organizational skills.
- Strong math skills with the ability to handle calculations like percentages and fractions.
