Job Title: Day Camp CoordinatorDepartment: Youth & Family (Tewksbury Site)

Reports to: Sr. Program Director

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Sr. Program Director, the Day Camp Coordinator will oversee and lead the summer day camp hosted at the Tewksbury Rec Center. Responsibilities include planning programming, assisting in hiring staff, supervising staff, maintaining safety, and maintaining a positive relationship between the public and families. They will work a schedule that may include some evenings to support programs and events across the association.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with participant recruitment by attending community events.
• Manage marketing and communications with participants, families, and staff. 
• Plan, schedule, and lead on-site events and projects as needed.
• Supervise program staff including hiring, training, scheduling etc.
• Follow established health and safety standards of the YMCA and Dept. of Public Health.
• Participate in budget planning; manage and implement the approved budget for the program and take appropriate action to correct variances.
• Ensure all facilities and grounds are clean, maintained, and safe during the season.

• Demonstrate and teach the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility to all participants and staff.
