DescriptionThe Department of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology is seeking to hire a Laboratory Assistant to support our research endeavors. In this role, you will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in conducting a diverse range of routine laboratory assays, molecular biology, and biochemical experiments. Responsibilities will include conducting Western blot, PCR, cloning, mammalian cell culture, and flow cytometry experiments. Additionally, you will operate ancillary equipment associated with small animal research, maintain laboratory supply inventory, and ensure cleanliness standards are upheld. Furthermore, you will be involved in various aspects of mouse work, such as administering different injection techniques, collecting blood samples, inoculating tumors, gathering tissue samples, and preparing mice for molecular and histological characterization. Note: This is a part-time 50% limited role which may convert to career. Hourly range: $21.38-$25.15
