South Bay Credit Union is Hiring a Risk Management Specialist Near Lomita, CA
Position Summary
The Risk Management Specialist (RMS) will report directly to the Director of Risk Management. Underminimal supervision, the RMS is responsible for performing all day-to-day account opening andtransaction processing for specialized members. They will also review daily reports and ensureadherence to policies, procedures, and compliance. The RMS must have the ability to travel toother branches for support and coverage as needed.
Responsibilities
• Assists members with teller transactions, appointment scheduling, account maintenanceand inquiries regarding products or services. Escalates issues as needed, along withrecommendations for resolution• Intake of loan and new membership applications via specialized direct channels whichincludes application interview, gathering application documents and may include initialreview and underwriting, funding and/or disbursing of loan proceeds• Completes daily review of Audit Link reports for abnormal activity, notating andescalating findings accordingly• Communicates directly with members (verbal and written) regarding various issues andopportunities• Requires occasional participation in specialized business development events• Performs other job-related duties as assignedPerformance Measurements
• Provides friendly, prompt, professional, and accurate service to all members and teammembers, with follow-ups to be resolved within one business day• Ensures all paperwork related to new accounts or maintenance is processed incompliance with relevant regulationsRevision Date 04/26/24• Safeguards member information during business hours and overnight• Required reports are prepared and completed in an accurate and timely manner daily• Management is kept informed of key issues
