Position Description
This is a wonderful opportunity to develop AI experience and broader capabilities in finance and accounting. We are currently seeking a General Accountant with a focus to begin on Accounts Payable. The accountant will have
the opportunity to begin with assisting in an AI software implementation that will significantly improve processes
and efficiencies in accounts payable. Once AI software is implemented will have the opportunity to work on
more accounting related projects and responsibilities to further develop finance and accounting background.
Work Location : Hybrid, based in Livonia (3 days in office and 2 remote)

Job Summary:
The General Accountant will focus on AI software implementation, maintaining financial records and assisting with
the general operations of the finance department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• AI software implementation – Assist department with AI accounts payable software implementation.
• Reporting and analysis – Run various reports and reconciliations on a monthly basis.
• Matching and vouching Invoices – Match invoices with proper receiving document and purchase order,

obtain proper approval. Enter into Visual system for processing and payment.

• Processing checks and ACH payment – conduct check runs and schedule ACH/Wire payments. Submit

checks and ACH/Wire payments for approval.

• Reconciling vendor accounts – Request statement from vendors, reconciling with receipts, work with

purchasing, shipping /receiving and other departments to clean up open receipts.

• Vendor Interface – Communicate with vendors with regards to invoices and any invoice discrepancies.
• Support audit requests – provide supporting document in a timely manner for various audits request.
• Maintain Electronic files – Maintain electronic filing system for AP invoices, vendor shippers, and other

supporting documents.

• Reporting – Produce variety of AP related reports upon request. i.e. Ageing reports, payment history, etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in either accounting, finance, general business, information systems, or math (or in

process; or Associate’s degree in accounting

• 1 years’ experience in accounts payable, general accounting, or bookkeeping preferred
• Experience with ERP system preferred
• Good communication, organizational, problem solving, decision making, and conflict management skills
• Quick learner, ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks, detail orientated
• At least proficient in Excel but would Prefer Expert user in Excel
• Basic accounting and financial knowledge through experience or educational program
