Bauer Hockey is Hiring a Quality Inspection Associate Near Liverpool, NY

We are Cascade-Maverik, the brand leaders in the design and manufacture of Lacrosse equipment, setting industry performance and reliability benchmarks with top selling helmets and gear.

We are seeking a Quality Associate to work with our production team at our facility in Liverpool, NY.

Quality Associates are responsible for the visual inspection of final products and incoming materials, ensuring all final products meet all standards of quality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
  • Perform visual final inspection of each product checking parts and assemblies to ensure that each product meets all standards of presentation and quality in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product specifications and work instructions.
  • Perform visual inspection of incoming materials, checking materials for conformity to standards, color, quantity, defects.
  • Keep records as needed of quality inspections, defects, repairs, or other documentation as needed for quality purposes.
  • Work with Production Associates and Production Leads to ensure product conforms to specifications and passes inspections.
  • Communicate results to supervisors and managers.
  • Participate and contribute to development and improvement in work instructions, training, quality line audits and lean processes.
  • Follow all prescribed safety and housekeeping guidelines.
  • May perform assembly work in the production line as needed assisting to complete final assemblies and sub-assemblies as needed to cover for absences or in peak production periods.

Typical work hours are M-F from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Overtime is sometimes needed and may include longer work days and half days on Saturdays. Overtime is usually on a sign-up basis for those interested, but the company may mandate overtime as needed.

Employees must be punctual and dependable, and ready to begin work on time each day and follow all time and attendance policies, safety policies and company policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred or previous experience in quality inspection in a production environment.
  • Ability to read, write, communicate and comprehend English, written and verbal procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Working Conditions/Physical/Mental Demands

  • Physical surroundings typical of manufacturing assembly-line environment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform routine tasks that may be repetitive at times.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, feel, and hold.
  • Ability to frequently walk, reach with hands at arms’ length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
