Workers Credit Union has a leadership opportunity available for a highly skilled Vice President, Finance to join our Finance Department!

As our Vice President Finance you will be Responsible for managing the Credit Union's finance functions including asset liability management (ALM), investment portfolio, wholesale funding, product pricing, analytical reporting, and budget planning and reporting.

General Responsibilities:

• Monitor and report on liquidity and cash flows, interest rate risk, concentration risk, and other finance related metrics to ensure the on-going long-term resilience of the credit union as well as compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare and present reports and recommendations as a key member of the asset liability management committee (ALCO).
• Manage the ongoing activities related to budgeting & reforecasting future financial results to help the credit union achieve its strategic goals. Coordinate and facilitate the collection of data and manage the inputs and reporting of the Axiom budgeting software. Reporting at the organization and department level as well as facilitating meetings with department heads is an essential part of this responsibility.
• Manage the investment portfolio of the Credit Union. Perform and document analysis in concert with advisors and make decisions on various investment products after providing recommendations and discussing with the asset liability committee. Report on investment activities and portfolio performance.
• Chair Pricing Committee meeting including preparing the agenda, coordinating reporting, facilitating collaborative discussions, and documenting decisions.
• Responsible for cash management activities including managing the Credit Union's use of wholesale funds to manage liquidity and cost of funds within policy limits. Perform analysis of wholesale options and make recommendations to management on funding plan.
• Manage direct reports:
  1. Ensure that the department is adequately staffed with properly trained personnel.
  2. Make or approve decisions for department employees regarding employment, performance ratings, promotions, salary recommendations, transfers, and terminations.
  3. Resolve personnel problems, particularly those of a more complex nature.
  4. Guide and advise subordinates in the more complex phases of work.
  5. Coordinate the activities of the department with other departments of the Credit Union.
  6. Monitor the accuracy and efficiency of the treasury staff.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Requirements:

Five or more years of finance experience; Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent experience; advanced computer skills including spreadsheets and databases; ability to independently understand and analyze complex data and propose solutions; exercises sound judgment; acute attention to detail; resourcefulness; inquisitive; ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, brokers and vendors both orally and in writing.
