Overview

We are a convenience store chain, operating 70 stores in CO and NV. We are currently seeking a detail oriented and experienced Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate, under the direction of the Assistant Controller, will perform high level accounting functions, usually involving complex formulas and confidential data. In preparation of the month end reporting, and alongside our other accountants, this position will manage by exception when analyzing financial information and will perform correcting entries and accruals as needed.

Potential Responsibilities

· Import daily activity from and reconcile 9 bank accounts, of which 3 are high-volume store deposit accounts.

· Import 3 weekly payroll GL reports into accounting system.

· Track interest and principal payments monthly, accruing for quarterly interest payments when applicable and distributing interest to stores based on loan type.

· Reconcile 26 intercompany accounts between 5 entities monthly.

· Review high dollar invoices for possible addition to Fixed Asset portfolio, posting monthly depreciation and amortization, and updating roll forward for auditors.

· Review store-by-store TTM P&L monthly for anomalies, independently research them, and post adjusting entries as needed. If found to be accurate, report the findings to the Senior Financial Analyst.

· Generate MBT and SUI quarterly filing reports.

· Update quarterly Cash Proof and Payroll Proof for auditors.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.

· Intermediate Excel knowledge

· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in similar accounting role

· Excellent interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
