Knuth Machine Tools USA is Hiring a Regional Sales Specialist Near Lincolnshire, IL

KNUTH Machine Tools USA is currently recruiting for a Regional Sales Specialist. The Regional Sales Specialist role will be responsible for developing new business by generating and following up on sales leads, developing direct and indirect business in assigned territory, and selling the full range of KNUTH Machine Tools’ product portfolio.

The KNUTH product portfolio includes manual and CNC metalworking machinery including: lathes, milling machines, band saws, drills, grinders, as well as fabricating equipment - laser, plasma, presses, shears and more. The candidate should be a friendly, competitive, high energy, passionate sales professional with experience in the machine tool or similar industry.

Primary Job Responsibilities

- Responsible for full sales cycle, from generation of leads, follow and negotiation, securing orders, customer service and on-going account management

- Generate and qualify new sales leads from various channels

- Initiate activity through phone, email, and available communication tools, be proactive and highly responsive

- Prepare and deliver high quality and convincing proposals

- Plan and schedule product demonstration, in person and virtual

- Primarily sell direct to customers, but also recruit and develop reseller relationships in territory

- Responsible for meeting and exceeding monthly sales targets to achieve annual goal

- Maintain open communication with Marketing, Sales, and our global factories

- Cut through red tape on service issues to support customers

- Provide ongoing and accurate sales forecasts

- Participate in sales meetings and provide valuable feedback on market conditions and territory performance

- Represent KNUTH at trade shows when required

- Occasional travel is necessary (<20%)

Requirements

- 3 years sales experience in machine tool sales or similar industry B2B sales, with proven success demonstrated by consistently exceeding sales targets

- Superior professional presence and business acumen

- Appropriate technical & industry knowledge

- Proven territory development skills; must be able to generate and qualify customer leads

- Ability to handle technical objections and clearly articulate the product architecture and its benefits

- Ability to identify decision-makers and build strong relationships with customers

- Clear understanding of how existing customers are using the products

- Capable of working independently

- Excellent written and verbal skills required

- Excellent technology skills including experience with CRM’s, and all Microsoft programs

- Possess high energy, values, honesty, integrity, and a positive attitude

- Adhere to KNUTH’s sales philosophy

- Located within commuting distance of Lincolnshire, IL
