Polaris Health & Wellness is Hiring an Office Manager Near Liberty, MO

Join Our Team as a Dual Role HR and Business Office Manager!
Summary Description: Responsible for all Facility billing, accounts receivable, and collection activities and supervision of billing and collections personnel. Responsible for achieving cash collection and AR goals for the Facility. Works with other department heads to ensure compliance with all financial regulatory and other requirements. Position may also manage accounts payable and payroll functions of the facility.
Position is a dual role - The HR Manager duties include resonsibility for managing the day-to-day human resources operations in the facility. The HR Manager is responsible for supporting HR policies and procedures and assuring compliance with those policies. The HR Manager is involved in: onboarding and orientation, benefits, leave requests, workers compensation, employee relations, performance management / progressive discipline process. Reporting to the Administrator. Responsible for performing facility Human Resources functions in accordance with policies and procedures and applicable federal, state and local laws, guidelines and regulations.
  • Manages billing, accounts receivable, and collection activities in the facility.
  • Organizes, evaluates, and monitors business office operations and supervises assigned personnel in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures integrity and confidentiality of all employee information and patient financial data.
  • Performs collection activities for patient carriers.
  • Establishes and maintains a system of financial record keeping to include issuing receipts, preparing and making bank deposits, and recording payments using proper segregation of duties.
  • Interacts with payors to define billing requirements and ensures prompt payment of claims.
  • Manages census activities including daily, weekly, and monthly balancing with the nursing and admissions departments.
  • Manages month-end close activities related to charge capturing and submission of all billing statements and invoices to payors. Ensures compliance with all policies and procedures relating to billing .

Qualifications:
  • Education: Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Three to five years of experience in third-party billing and reimbursement including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local employment laws regulations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
