We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Structural Engineering to lead our Southeast Structural team. This role will sit in our Lexington, SC or Charleston, SC office.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising, managing, and mentoring structural design and bridge inspection staff
• Serving as the project manager for structural design, bridge inspection, bridge engineering, and sign and lighting foundation design projects throughout the southeast region
• Participating in business development opportunities including writing technical proposals
• Performing management tasks as required.
• Travel will be required.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have all the following:

• bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil or structural engineering
• 12 years of relevant transportation structural design experience in a consulting environment
• PE license in any state, with the ability to obtain in SC within 6 months of hire date

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following experience:

• South Carolina PE license
• 12 years in transportation structural (bridges and signs) design
• Leading structural design projects
• Experience leading structures (bridges & signs) condition inspection
• Southeast region transportation structures (bridges & signs) projects
• Management and mentoring of staff
• Project team management; business development
• Structural analysis and design software programs (LARS, Merlin-Dash, STAAD, Microstation, AutoCad, etc)
