University of Kentucky Federal Credit Union is Hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist (27463) Near Lexington, KY

Title: Digital Marketing Specialist
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Marketing Manager
FLSA: Non-exempt
Job Grade: 9
Job Purpose: The UKFCU Marketing Team is in search of a creative and focused individual skilled in content creation. This position provides service to existing and prospective members through email marketing, social media development, and website management. In addition, researches and analyzes data to expand and deliver digital media through appropriate channels.
JOB SPECIFIC RESULTS
  • EMAIL MARKETING: Create engaging written and visual content for email marketing. Develop a timely delivery cadence for standalone and automated communications through collaborative planning with team. Manage and segment database of Credit Union members for both general and targeted email campaigns.
  • SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING: Create engaging written and visual content for social media marketing. Develop and maintain calendar for campaigns across various social media to build brand awareness and drive opportunity for the Credit Union. Including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc. 2a) Engage with and resolve customer issues through social media in a positive and professional manner. Follow Credit Union’s policies and procedures regarding complaints to assure tracking and resolution of all comments and complaints via online channels.
  • WEBSITE: Responsible for management and updates to user-facing content on UKFCU existing website, as well as creation of new webpages as needed. Use tools such as Siteimprove to maintain website efficiencies in areas such as accessibility and SEO.
  • Monitor analytics and compile monthly reports on effectiveness of email and social media campaigns, as well as website traffic.
  • Assist with development of timely marketing promotions, advertising materials and digital media as needed for team members.
  • Participate in and document (take photos, gather information) UKFCU’s various marketing events in the community.
  • Research new media platforms, trends, and industry opportunities. Provide feedback and research results to management and relay implementation strategies.
  • Resolves problems by studying issues; reviewing documents; analyzing alternative solutions; making recommendations to management and solving the problem.
  • Experience with Email Marketing platforms (ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact, Mailchimp or similar), Content Management Systems (Drupal, WordPress, Kentico or similar) and Social Media Management platforms (Hootsuite, Sprout Social or similar) is preferred.
GENERAL MEMBER CONTACT STAFF RESULTS
  • Maintains professionalism and member confidence by presenting a professional image and engaging in positive communications concerning UKFCU to members, employees, vendors and all contacts.
  • Maintains account records by updating member information as necessary.
  • When directly serving members, cross-sells credit union services by answering inquiries, actively informing members of new services and product promotions, ascertaining members’ needs, directing members to other staff as appropriate.
GENERAL STAFF RESULTS
  • Maintains member and employee confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential and sharing on a business-related as-needed basis only.
  • Engages in problem resolution by clarifying the member’s and/or employee’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution; and keeping the supervisor informed of problems and solutions.
  • Complies with UKFCU policies and procedures by enforcing and adhering to internal UKFCU procedures and board-established policies.
  • Complies with federal, state and local regulations and legal requirements by enforcing and adhering to requirements.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by maintaining an awareness of competitors’ rates and terms, industry trends and technology; attending staff meetings; identifying opportunities to attend seminars that enhance skills and maintain knowledge of new products that could assist in improving operational effectiveness; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing corporate and individual goals and other related results as needed.

Minimum Requirements
  • Three to Five years of similar or related experience, including but not limited to, email marketing, social media content creation, and website maintenance.
  • Two-year college degree, business, or trade school or equivalent.
  • General PC and computer keyboarding experience.
  • Ability to communicate with others one-on-one and in groups, fielding questions and responding to complaints.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals with American currency, and to apply these concepts to practical solutions.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent with American currency, and to apply these concepts to practical solutions.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions while dealing with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to travel to campuses and other locations to facilitate marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently.

This position allows for an optional hybrid work arrangement which includes a combination of both in-office and remote work arrangements. (Maximum of two days remote, three days in-office). To be eligible for the program, employees must complete a minimum of 6 months of continuous, regular employment, be in good standing, and submit a formal hybrid work application prior to being eligible for hybrid work, pending supervisor approval. Work schedules will be established by the employee's supervisor according to business needs. Working locations and schedules may be altered at management discretion.
