Artemis is Hiring an Inventory Control Clerk Near Leesburg, FL
- Creating and reviewing pick tickets for warehouse personnel; inspection of raw material/packaging after materials have been picked; making necessary corrections to inventory in software, cycle counts, tracking and completing batch record folders in Fishbowl with 24 hours; monitoring and directing warehouse personnel for staging and storage; per management’s instructions, completes required reports, and performs other duties, such as physical inventories, cleaning up & organizing the shipping / receiving area, etc.
- Verifies & maintains records of incoming & outgoing shipments, and prepares items for shipment, as needed: Compares identifying information, counts, weighs measures, etc. of incoming & outgoing shipments against bills of lading, PO’s, invoices or other records.
- Assembles containers or packages for shipping. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons, or marks identifying shipping information on cartons.
- Determines best method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping requirements, routes, and rates. Turns in shipping paperwork daily.
- Double checks outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy of shipments.
- Keeps work area clean, and assigned equipment, tools & supplies in proper working order. Maintains inventory of shipping materials, and supplies.
- Keeps records of deliveries of products, materials, parts & supplies, and damaged stock, or backordered materials, tools, parts & equipment, and matches against other receiving / accounting records. Separates and documents non-conforming products.
- Checks items received for condition, proper quantities, and descriptions. Turns in approved bills of laden to accounting daily. Routes received items to departments. May use lift truck to move product from receiving area to work or storage area.
- Provides training, assistance, and direction to other employees who can fill in when he/she is out.
- Exhibits active listening skills without interrupting; sound judgment and decision making; speaks information effectively; monitors self accordingly, and uses critical thinking skills in approaching problems, solutions, etc. Utilizes time well, and prioritizes tasks accordingly.
- Handles and moves objects safely; performs other physical activities safely.
- Inspects department tools, parts & equipment at beginning and end of each shift. Performs preventive maintenance to assigned tools, parts & equipment, as required.
- Ensures that work area is clean and materials, tools and supplies are properly stored before end of shift.
- Is responsible for all assigned tools, equipment, supplies, etc. Reports tools, parts, fire extinguishers, and equipment damaged, not properly calibrated, or not working properly to his/her immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
- Directs others to assist with outgoing or incoming shipments, as needed.
- Coordinates inventory requirements; performs regular cycle counts; compiles inventory reports; and forecasts future needs.
- Manages department to budgeted time, quality, customer service, and safety standards -- consistent with the goals & objectives for the department.
- Any other assigned duties by management.
