This is a responsible position involving installation and maintenance of the water distribution system and for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment within the Water Maintenance Department. This employee will operate trucks that require a Pennsylvania CDL license with air brakes endorsement. Work includes manual labor and the use of various kinds of water systems equipment/tools. This employee will flush hydrants, perform service line shut-offs, assist in the leak detection program, locate and mark pipes/service lines, and many other duties as assigned. This employee will operate small machinery and equipment, perform work orders, read/understand blueprints, and perform concrete and black top in connection with installation or water mains/service lines.
