RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join a growing team in the Leawood, KS area. The Senior PHP Developer will help build new features that empower the client's business efforts, scale APIs that handle thousands of requests per minute, and maintain existing applications while working with the latest cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
* Senior PHP Developer will work with the Software Engineering Manager to develop and execute on multiple large-scale projects in parallel; Work independently to develop and/or delegate smaller tasks
* Write -clean-, well-designed code that meets all provided specifications and adheres to our team coding standards
* Refactor, optimize, and improve the existing codebases to reduce maintenance costs and increase scalability
* As a Senior PHP Developer, you will write technical documentation that accurately describes existing product architecture or proposed enhancements
* Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
* Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle and provide ongoing feedback for process improvement
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7 years of proven MVC software development experience using object-oriented PHP; Experience with one of the major PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symphony, CodeIgniter, etc.) is a must
* 5 years of relational database skills with MySQL or PostgreSQL (SQL Server is OK too)
* Good understanding of design patterns and experience implementing them in PHP
* Good knowledge of version control tools (preferably Git) and web technologies such as HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX
* Experience with AWS (or any other public cloud) is a plus
* Experience writing automated tests is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
