BGSF is partnered with a growing company in Clear Lake that is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead their team. This person will support the Finance department and executive management by ensuring accurate and timely accounting transactions.

The ideal person for this role will have an active CPA license and will have strong management skills, managing a team of at least 5.

Responsibilities:

• Apply thorough knowledge of GAAP and company policies.
• Handle month-end and year-end financial closings, including journal entry preparation.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, reporting packages, and regulatory documents.
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Reconcile accounts, resolve complex finance issues, and analyze financial results.
• Lead financial projects effectively, managing all details and creating actionable plans.
• Multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and self-review work for quality.
• Understand business operations and align finance priorities accordingly.
• Seek opportunities for standardization and automation.
• Assist the Controller with GAAP application, internal controls, and best practices.
• Manage multiple deadlines and respond to ad hoc financial requests.
• Facilitate internal and external audits.
• Work independently and perform business analysis as needed.
• Develop and maintain desk procedures.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience with accounting ERP software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables).
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
