Comanche Nation Entertainment is Hiring an ACCOUNTING MANAGER Near Lawton, OK
- This position worksite is located in Lawton, Oklahoma
Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe following are major duties and are not intended to be all-inclusive or restrictive.
- Maintain Accounting records and staff.
- Assist Comptroller with the development of annual departmental budgets.
- Responsible for planning and carrying out all tasks related to the accounting function, interpreting considerable amounts of data, planning of work, and resolving and refining methods and techniques employed.
- Coordinates with other departments and properties to ensure all needed information is timely shared and acquired.
- Interprets and develops operating policies and procedures that ensure regulatory compliance, efficiency, effectiveness, and strong standardization across all properties.
- Keeps Comptroller informed of the status of the Accounting Department and of projects.
- Monitors all financial activities of the property to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and internal controls are enforced throughout the property.
- Oversees the preparation of and reviews of all financial reports on a timely basis.
- Coordinates with and accommodates requests from external, internal, and regulatory auditors.
- Assists in developing the property’s budget and managing a such budget (including the completion and review of departmental and capital budgets).
- Any and all other tasks or projects as assigned.
- Directly supervises the Senior Staff Accountant, Revenue Audit Supervisor, Count/Drop Team Supervisor, and other specialists in the Accounting Department.
- Supervises and mentors subordinate managers/supervisors.
- With input from subordinate managers/supervisors and aligned with applicable policies, hiring, firing, promotion, and transfer decisions are made.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of Accounting-related work experience (at least one (1) of which must be in casino Accounting).
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- In lieu of a degree, Five (5) years of casino accounting at a Manager level.
- Extensive knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of the Accounting profession; and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments.
- Familiar with Accounting software and programs used by CNE preferred.
- Able to report for duty as scheduled, work long hours (including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays) as needed to meet deadlines, and to work under stressful conditions.
