- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational objectives
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements for goods and services
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations and ongoing communication
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management
- Utilize category management principles to optimize purchasing processes
```Requirements:```
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in procurement, materials management, or supply chain management
- Strong knowledge of logistics, procurement management, and supplier management
- Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations and quality management standards
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers
- Proficient in contract negotiation and drafting agreements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
