We are looking for a competent Assistant Preschool Director to support the director in departmental planning and monitoring progress. You will also be working to enhance productivity and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.

Assistant directors are well-versed in performance and operations management and competent in assuming delegated duties. They are leaders and critical thinkers, ready to solve problems before they become obstacles.

The goal is to help the department attain objectives of productivity and employee satisfaction.

Assistant Preschool Director Job Responsibilities

Handling the day-to-day operations and administration of a school involves many tasks. Whether supervising teachers, developing program plans, directors balance various responsibilities to make sure their schools run smoothly.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Overseeing teachers and classroom activities
• Hiring and training staff and teachers
• Organizing professional development activities
• Developing policies and procedures that meet state requirements and communicating them to staff and teachers
• Creating curricula and standards that support educational excellence
• Working with staff to communicate with parents and students
• Discussing student progress with parents
• Coordinating the maintenance and cleaning of the facility according to state and local standards

Job Requirements

To qualify for this position,

• the individual must possess a Associates of Arts degree in early childhood or in a related field.
• have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a preschool or early childhood environment and experience working as a supervisor.
• Must be CPR and First Aid certified. The person must have physical strength to lift and carry children and other items weighting up to 50 lbs. and have the use of arms, hands, legs and feet without any problems.
• The individual must be a self-starter who has the ability to make good judgments for the sake of the center, and who is reliable and trustworthy. Having experience in crisis situations is a plus.
• The potential candidate must be able to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance as well as be willing to participate in continuing education.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
