Motion Behavioral Health is Hiring a Mental Health Case Manager Near Laredo, TX

Case managers work with children and family to develop a personalized treatment plan and provide in-person support. Case managers will visit with children regularly, often weekly, as set forth by their treatment plan. Case managers will travel to the child’s home, school or out in the community to meet with the client. Case Managers caseloads mainly consist of children but they can also provide services for adults with depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. (Job Applicant must have at least 12 hours worth of psychology classes to qualify for the job).

Other key responsibilities of mental health case managers include:

  • Evaluating the goals and needs of patients to develop targeted treatment plans
  • Working one-on-one with patients to help them set and achieve long-term goals for their mental wellbeing
  • Conducting in-depth assessments on patients' mental health states to create informed and effective treatment plans
  • Adding notes to patients' files and records based on evaluations and treatment progress
  • Creating personalized treatment plans designed to overcome their mental health and life goals
  • Remaining calm and rational when resolving certain crisis patient situations that can occur unexpectedly during treatments or examinations
  • Building after-care treatment plans and communicating them to patients for use once they're released from treatments
  • Performing home visits on released patients to evaluate their progress and ensure they're functioning properly on their own
  • Travel required in surrounding counties

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $31,200.00 - $52,000.00 per year
