Ferretti Search is excited to partner with a leading player in the chemical distribution industry, currently seeking a driven Distribution Operations Manager for their facility in Lansing, MI. Our client, a key player in the sector, is dedicated to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Location: Lansing, MI

Compensation: $90,000-100,000 plus profit sharing

Position Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Position Summary: As the Distribution Operations Manager, you'll lead a team in managing all aspects of the distribution center operations. Safety, efficiency, and compliance will be your guiding principles as you ensure on-time order fulfillment and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead and supervise all operations within the chemical distribution center, striving for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
• Establish and enforce stringent safety protocols for the handling of hazardous materials.
• Supervise order processing to guarantee punctual deliveries and uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Oversee equipment maintenance to reduce downtime and promptly address any arising issues.
• Ensure adherence to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Manage the flow of materials throughout the facility, encompassing loading and unloading activities.
• Cultivate partnerships with transportation vendors to secure competitive rates.
• Conduct informative facility tours, highlighting best practices in safe material handling.
• Develop and deploy emergency response strategies for hazardous material incidents.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of management experience in chemical distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the chemical industry is required.
• Demonstrated history of enhancing operational efficiency within a safety-critical environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations for handling and transporting hazardous materials.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
