Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Photographer plays an integral part in the successful operations at DISH. Working both in and out of studio, the individual in this role is responsible for collaborating with the Creative Team assigned to client projects to ensure deliverables are within agreed upon specifications by acting as a photographer and editor on shoots.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews stated client deliverables as provided by the Account Management and Sales team to light and shoot scenes to meet specifications;
  • Works and communicates collaboratively with the entire project team to ensure successful outcomes of shoots;
  • Compiles and prepares files for the assigned editor(s) in accordance with internal Dish standards;
  • Using professional judgement as well as working with notes from the creative team, edits photos adjusting for areas such as color, contrast, blemishes, etc.
  • If and as necessary, based on client or team feedback, will work to adjust and reshoot scenes to meet client needs;
  • Once approved, transfers files to appropriate file storage area for Account Manager to deliver to client.
  • Recommends additional equipment needs to Production Manager.

Qualifications and Skills (Please submit your portfolio with your submission):

This position is a great fit for you if…

  • You are available Monday-Friday, 9am - 6pm, with flexibility to meet business and project needs
  • Can commute to Lancaster, PA to be in studio several days a week
  • You possess two (2) or more years of demonstrated successful experience in Commercial Photography or similar space with product and lifestyle photography experience
  • You have experience and an understanding of flash photography
  • You understand lighting best practices, specifically as it relates to products or food items
  • You possess a commanding working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • You are thorough, methodical and organized with an ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines
  • You are able to contribute as part of team and as an individual
  • You can work professionally with people from diverse backgrounds
  • You have knowledge of food, food styling, and related concepts ( strongly preferred)
