Apex's Rockies Division is expanding and is looking for an Environmental Project Manager. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail orientated and has the people and technical compliance skills needed to support and manage client projects.
Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Project Manager:

  • Develop and review environmental regulatory compliance permits and reports including stormwater (construction, industrial, and MS4), SPCC, baseline water quality, and dewatering.
  • Provide technical oversight and perform project work. Oversee water quality inspections, sampling, and development of SPCC, stormwater and groundwater environmental compliance reports.
  • Mentor scientific staff and ensure quality work products.
  • Analyze environmental legislation and regulations and determine impact on client activities.
  • Prepare environmental permits and reports for projects, facilities, and operations for clients in the transportation and warehousing, construction, oil and gas, renewable energy, building management, and municipal markets.
  • Client interaction and relationship development including onsite and virtual client meetings.
  • Define and develop your own professional growth with mentoring from senior managers.

What we're looking for:

  • BS in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or another related field.
  • 6 years of professional experience in consulting or industry.
  • Experience conducting SPCC inspections and stormwater inspections, monitoring, and sampling.
  • Experience researching, reviewing, and guiding compliance with environmental regulations at a Federal, State and Local level; including SPCC, NPDES &, discharge permitting.
  • Experience with water sampling for groundwater and/or surface water.
  • Ability to successfully multi-task and problem solve while maintaining quality and manage your own time.
  • Strong communication skills, and collaborative work ethic.
  • Strong safety awareness, and an understanding of safe work practices.
  • Excellent writing and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite are required.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving history are required.
  • Experience supporting clients with Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) regulatory compliance is plus

Anticipated range for this position is $80,000 - $105,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
