The Crowne Plaza - Lake Placid, managed by Essex Hotel Management, is currently seeking a DRIVEN Golf Course Maintenance Laborer
The golf course maintenance worker is responsible for maintaining the golf course and ensuring it is in top condition for our guests to enjoy.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the golf course by mowing, trimming, and edging the grass
- Operate and maintain equipment such as mowers, tractors, and other machinery
- Ensure the golf course is free of debris and hazards
- Maintain the sand traps and bunkers
- Water the greens and fairways as needed
- Perform routine maintenance on the golf course, including fertilizing and aerating
- Work with the golf course superintendent to ensure the course is in top condition for tournaments and events
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in golf course maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of golf course maintenance equipment and techniques
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment safely
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
