Job Description

As a housekeeper for a Weekender Property, you are required and expected to clean guest rooms to the utmost perfection and detail as possible, as well as attend to any other areas that need cleaning or organizing throughout the property during your scheduled shift.

These duties include, but are not limited to:

• Making beds neatly and tightly to ensure the guest feels welcomed. The bed is often the first part of the room guests pay attention to, thus must be made perfectly and neatly to ensure complete guest satisfaction to the level of our bed making requirements.
• Cleaning bathrooms - this requires attention to detail so that not a piece of dust, hair or dirt is left behind on any surface that a new guest will come in contact with. This also requires the use of cleaning products such as clorox bleach, comet, furniture polish, pine sole, baking soda, etc. Including washing shower, toilet, sink, sink area and all mirrors in the room after each check out.
• Washing towels according to our washing structure and products - checking for stains, attention to detail in making sure no towels or linens are used that have any stains or rips on them.
• Organizing sheets and pillowcases to go out to the laundromat for cleaning - this includes making sure dirty sheets and pillowcases are in the required laundromat bags in the upstairs closet, ready for them to pick up. This also includes organizing and stocking both the downstairs closet and upstairs closet accordingly.
• Vacuuming each room thoroughly after each check out.
• Mopping all bathroom floors and tile entry surfaces thoroughly after each check out.
• Organizing all room components neatly, including magazings, TV guides, remote controls, coffee area (stocking coffee tray with two regular kcups, sugars, water, etc.)
• Cleaning the mini fridge in the room after each check out or the full kitchen, depending on room type.
• Testing light bulbs in each room to make sure they are working appropriately.
• Daily vacuum and mop of the lobby or all common areas, fluffing pillows, cleaning fireplace glass, organizing closet, cleaning fridge, wiping down any wood surfaces, etc. Stocking the snacks and cleaning the espresso machine.
• Ensuring that each room has been cleaned thoroughly and stocked with all the items the guests may need (towels, tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, etc.)
• Ability and willingness to assist with other onsite amenity upkeep such as covering/uncovering the pool, putting away kayaks and other outdoor items/games, assisting with guest requests and/or needs throughout their stay.
• Answering the phone for reservations and customer questions and learning our reservation system called Cloudbeds.

Requirements:

• Weekend availability as well as some evening shifts for phone coverage

• Ability to work in and inside/outside environment

• Ability to lift at least 30-40 pounds

• Attention to detail while being efficient

• Attention to detail - cleaning quality (monitored by manager walkthroughs of rooms, guest reviews online and in person, survey completions, etc.)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
