Responsibilities
- Ability to recommend and implement best practices including latest technology trends in the quality/metrology industry that will fit current and future needs
- Lead capabilities development of both people and equipment, to include programing, training, GD&T training, equipment maintenance and calibration, and new technology implementation
- Manages budget for test lab by monitoring spending both internally and externally on a continuous basis
- Evaluate work request for requirements and completeness. Coordinates engineers and technicians accordingly while monitoring progress and resolving issues
- Promotes and maintains a metrics-driven service organization with a defined system to accept, prioritize, and track work requests
- Leads department continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in manufacturing, engineering or within a testing/lab environment (Metrology Lab)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physics or Computer Science from an accredited institution
- 2 years of Management or Supervisory experience
- Experience in testing of injection molded parts in a lab environment
- IATF16949 familiarity
