Greater Austin Pain Center is Hiring a Medical Assistant (MA) Near Kyle, TX

Growing pain management practice is looking for full-time Medical Assistants to join our team. This key position assists in all facets of our patient experience, from front office support to back office tasks including obtaining patient records and test results, coordinating daily administrative tasks, preparing treatment rooms for examinations, and assisting our practitioners during medical procedures. This is a career-oriented position with lots of room for growth and development. Greater Austin Pain Center creates an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture. The opportunity is perfect for someone that enjoys being challenged and working closely with providers in a fast-paced environment.

Will likely work at more than 1 location.

Follow Covid restriction guidelines.

Salary is commensurate with experience.

This position is full time, clinic hours are M-F 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities:

Accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms and assist with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam/procedure.

Collect patient vitals, medical history and perform screenings per provider instructions

Assist clinical staff with procedures

Provides information/instructions to patients and their families

Phone call triage

Patient scheduling and chart preparation

Send/receive patient medical records and information

Obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, and referral information

Complete forms and requisitions as needed as well as manage patient charts to ensure information is complete

Respond appropriately to emergency codes

Supply management

Help maintain office organization and cleanliness

Other duties as assigned

This position is subject to a pre-employment background and drug screen
