Cattron is Hiring a Field Applications Engineer Near Krefeld, DE

For the further expansion of market share in EMEA and for the support of our customers, we are currently seeking a highly motivated Field Application Engineer Industrial Automation (m/f/d) to join us at either our home office or our Krefeld location.

Field Application Engineer Industrial Automation (m/w/d)

As an application engineer, you will be the point of contact for our sales team and customers in the industrial automation sector within the EMEA region. This sector includes customers from segments such as overhead cranes, AGVs, complex machinery, robotics, intralogistics, pump manufacturers, etc. The position is customer-oriented and is aimed at individuals with a technical and project-oriented perspective to collaborate with customers and our internal departments to develop and specify the best solutions.

Your responsibilities:

  • You ensure technical support for our sales team and work together with customers to develop the appropriate technical solution and specification for each application.
  • As THE point of contact for our sales managers, you are responsible for ensuring that the concepts align with the product's capabilities and individually clarify them with the customer.
  • You competently address general questions about Cattron's products and services, particularly regarding product features, specifications, and general application guidelines.
  • You act as a liaison between product management, production, and sales in the EMEA region. You ensure the technical clarification of the proposed concept and serve as an interface to the departments within our company.
  • When necessary, you are on-site with the customer to assist with the commissioning of our systems. You also support our field service team when needed.
  • You discover new product possibilities while always keeping market requirements in mind.
  • Finding solutions for complex applications and presenting them in detail to our customers is part of your role.
  • You represent our company at national and international trade shows and sales events.

Requirements:

  • Completed technical degree or comparable education (e.g., technician training with relevant professional experience).
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience, preferably in the field of control technology and automation technology.
  • Experience in OEM business is advantageous, and if you have experience in the field of radio remote controls, it is welcome but not mandatory.
  • You are not hesitant to travel frequently to our customers within Europe.
  • You have knowledge and understanding of the development processes of electronic products for functional safety.
  • You always keep track of deadlines and tasks and have attention to detail.
  • Fluent in both German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You are eager to learn and open to whatever comes your way.
  • Adherence to the company's quality and safety standards is a given.
