POSITION SUMMARY

Makes travel arrangements for patientsof Maniilaq Health Center and employees of Maniilaq Association. Reportsdirectly to the Patient Travel Supervisor.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Makestravel arrangements for patients and employees, including reservations withhotels and car rental agencies in a timely fashion.

2.Demonstrates courteous and efficient customer (patients and employees)service.

3.Prints travel itineraries for patients and employees.

4.Calls or contacts patients and employees with travelinformation.

5.Completestravel requisitions and forwards on to accounting promptly.

6.Enterstravel requisition data into the H drive.

7.Ensure patient is eligible for Medicaid prior to traveland prepares the necessary paperwork.

8.Answers phone and follows up with all travel requests.

9.Files all documents.

10.Responsiblefor opening and closing of office.

11.Provideson-call coverage as needed.

13.Havea good understanding of MHC’s Patient Travel Policy.

14.Proficientin use of Halo System for meal allocations.

15.UseAIDET Plus P for Customer Service Interaction to ensure customer servicesatisfaction.

16.Workson Saturdays, if needed.

Job Qualifications : MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Trainee : Able to type well enough to carry out theduties of the position.Must attend / receivecustomer service training within two months of hire or four months for currentemployees.

Tech : Highschool diploma or equivalent plus one year clerical experience.Prior computer experience at the intermediatelevel required.

Specialist : Meets qualifications of Travel Technician plussix months travel reservations experience and demonstrated competence in allduties and responsibilities.
