Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled, bilingual, (Korean/Englis) and experienced Assistant Purchasing Manager to join our team. As the Assistant Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and services. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain and maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Duties:

- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet company objectives

- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships

- Collaborate with internal managers/supervisors to understand their purchasing needs and requirements

- Monitor market trends and changes in supply chain to ensure cost-effective procurement

- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and implement necessary improvements

- Manage inventory control processes to minimize stockouts and excess inventory

- Oversee the procurement process from order placement to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between purchasing activities and production schedules

Qualifications:

- Must be bilingual in Koren and English

- Associate's degree in Business Management, or a related field is preferred but necessary.

- Proven experience as a Purchasing Assistant or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and supply chain management principles

- Proficient in using Microsoft Office

- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and pricing from suppliers

- Solid understanding of inventory control methods and techniques
