Wellspire Medical Group is a multi-specialty group with multiple offices throughout the Greater Houston area. Our fast-growing practice is home to around 30 providers. We are currently in search of a full-time Medical Billing Specialist that has an eye for detail, is dependable, and has a passion for healthcare.

Compensation is dependent on experience.

Schedule Requirements: Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Reviewing clearinghouse reports and ensuring claims are filled in time for timely filing.

· Answering incoming insurance/patient calls.

· Making outbound insurance/patient collection calls to resolve outstanding balances.

· Provide excellent communication and service to answer questions, gather information, and solve problems.

· Appeal denied claims or claims not paid correctly over the phone or in writing.

· Overcome patient objections to their medical bills and offer suggestions to achieve payment collections.

· Update the patient record with actions taken, results of call, and follow up measures if required.

· Perform other duties as assigned in conjunction with the collection process.

Job Requirements:

· At least 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections preferred. The more experience, the better.

· High school diploma or GED is required.

· Familiar with ICD-10 and CPT coding.

· Medical billing and collections software experience required, eClinicalWorks preferred.

· Customer service oriented.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Basic computer and office equipment knowledge required.

· Extremely detailed oriented, proactive, and organized.

· Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
