Position Summary:
This is a full-time, entry level position conducting meter readings of gas and electric meters throughout the Central Hudson NYS territory.
Essential Job Functions:
- Locate appropriate structure utilizing provided software
- Safely and accurately read electric and gas consumption meters
- Inspect meters and connections for defects, damage, and unauthorized connections
Position Qualifications:
- Previous experience working outside
- Ability to walk between 1 to 5 miles each day
- Enjoy working outdoors in various types of weather and terrain such as wooded, urban, rural and unmaintained right of ways
- Valid Driver’s License
