Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans for clients
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients with substance abuse issues
- Develop and implement behavior management plans to support clients in achieving sobriety goals
- Utilize evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to facilitate positive change
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
- Provide case management services, including referrals to community resources and support networks
- Conduct ongoing assessments of client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Provide counseling services to children and families affected by substance abuse issues
- Offer support and guidance to clients dealing with co-occurring disorders, such as PTSD
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (LADC, LCDC, CAC)
- Experience in conducting diagnostic evaluations and developing treatment plans
- Proficiency in clinical counseling techniques and evidence-based practices
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies and techniques
- Familiarity with medical coding systems for billing purposes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
