District Wide is Hiring a SOCIAL WORKER Near Kennett, PA
Kennett Consolidated School District is seeking a dynamic teacher who will nurture, prepare, and empower ALL students and staff to succeed in their academic, social, and emotional journey. A teacher who exhibits a belief in the importance of relationships and resiliency through a student-centered approach will be able to successfully support the district’s mission and vision.
Kennett's uniquely diverse student population makes applicants considered to be fluent or bilingual highly sought. Applicants with at least three (3) Spanish courses at the college/university level or who have a command of conversational Spanish are encouraged to apply.
POSITION: School Social Worker
SUMMARY: To provide emotional support, mental health evaluations, therapy and case
management services to students experiencing psychological, emotional, medical, social
and/or familial challenges, to enhance the total development of students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum
levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary. As required
under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), reasonable accommodations may
be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.
- Master’s degree preferred in Social Work.
- Must have Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Proficiency in the use of technology for individual communication and research.
- Proficiency in presentation of technology to enhance small and large student
- group information and demonstration sessions.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with
- other teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff and outside
- professional contacts.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Ten (10) month position (190 days) — Salary and Work Year to be established by
the Board of School Directors.
Salary and Benefits according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement between
the KCSD and the Kennett Education Association.
