Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Operations Manager for the LASSO II contract, supporting the Space Division.
JOB DETAILS
The ideal candidate is an experienced manager responsible for overseeing the calibration, precision cleaning, chemical analysis, and non-destructive testing laboratories at the Kennedy Space Center. This fulltime position and work will be performed onsite at the Kennedy Space Center.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or other technical discipline.
• Ten or more years of experience in management of represented teams.
Current U.S. Citizenship is required.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Knowledge of KSC practices and procedures
• Knowledge of calibration, precision cleaning, chemical analysis, and non-destructive testing practices
Experience and knowledge in administering Safety, Quality, Represented Labor Relations and an understanding of financial management and Government/Contractor relations.RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and direct all Operational Laboratory activities
• Coordinate technical activities with laboratory leads
• Act as the technical interface to Government and non-Government customers
• Perform technical analysis of policies and customer requirements
• Provide technical support for the development of test plans and analysis, schedules, estimates, budgets, and reports.
• Provide technical support for the development and tracking of contract technical and performance metrics
• Provide technical support for the development, implementation, and maintenance of risk management plans
• Ensure the safety of personnel and equipment
