Embodying them forms the basis of what makes for a successful employee at Kennebunk Savings.Scope of Work:Under the guidance of the Personal Lines and/or Commercial Lines Team Leader, the incumbent is responsible for processing and assisting with retaining the book of business through direct contact with carriers and customers. In addition, they will assist account managers and agents in cross-selling business and providing direct customer support. Essential Functions (3):Daily ProcessingResponsible for invoicing and reviewing all endorsements, renewals & audits and advising appropriate Personal Lines and/or Commercial Lines Agent of any discrepanciesAccesses all carrier websites to retrieve necessary documents, policies and/or correspondenceAssists with inputting new business applications into carrier rating platformsPerforms follow-up on all non-pay cancellation notices and communicates information to appropriate agent and customer, when necessaryAgency SupportProvides back-up to the agency staff including answering calls from clients, handling routine policy changes and certificate requestsProvides direct client support if licensedAdministrative SupportMay be assigned to various projects such as bulk-letter mailings or renewal of large account certificates Other Duties & Responsibilities:Promotes the Kennebunk Savings Brand by recommending our products and services, supporting our community focus & commitment to being a premier employerUnderstands, supports and adheres to applicable organizational policies/procedures and state/federal regulationsConsistently emphasizes the importance of teamwork in the department and company at largeResponsible for keeping abreast of company news and informationResponsible for completing required training and policy reviewMay serve on various committeesWillingness to take on additional tasks and duties Certifications & Licenses:Not Applicable Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Proficiency with Insurance Property & Casualty Coverages, Carriers & ProductsDisplays high level of regard for trust and confidentialityProficient in Microsoft Office Products and Carrier websites.Displays strong written and verbal communication skillsDisplays strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task to meet established deadlinesDemonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detailEffectively uses analytical skills to solve coverage issues as well as identify client needs.Prior knowledge of Insurance Requirements is preferredAbility to adapt to change Desired Job Experience:Experience in the insurance industry is preferredExperience in a professional, service focused and fast-paced environment Desired Education:High school or General Education Diploma Working Conditions & Minimum Physical Requirements:Physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipmentLifting and moving of moderately heavy objects on occasionNormally seated for extended periods of timeExternal and internal applicants, as well as position incumbents who become disabled as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, or Maine/New Hampshire Human Rights Commissions, must be able to perform the essential job functions (as listed) either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined by management on a case-by-case basis.Last Updated 01/24/23
