Casa Azul Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation is Hiring a Director of Nursing (DON) RN Near Katy, TX

Casa Azul Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation offers a unique and exciting opportunity to provide world-class care to our residents. Our high acuity facility includes a large Vent Unit, In-House Dialysis, and Onsite Therapy and Rehab services. We are passionate about continuing our tradition of providing high-quality care and helping our residents achieve their best quality of life. To accomplish this, we are seeking an experienced and Dynamic Leader to direct and manage our Clinical Team. The Director of Nursing (DON) will be a crucial member of the facility leadership team. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for developing and implementing nursing protocols, providing oversight of the nursing staff, and ensuring that all nursing services are in compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in geriatrics, long-term care, and rehabilitation centers as well as experience with Staffing, Financial Management, Leadership and Labor Control practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the nursing staff is meeting the needs of the patients.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care.
  • Ensure that all nursing staff is properly trained and certified.
  • Monitor the performance of the nursing staff and provide feedback as needed.
  • Ensure that all nursing staff is following proper protocols for patient care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
  • Provide support to families of patients in long-term care facilities or rehabilitation centers.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with a valid license in Texas
  • Previous long-term care experience as a DON
  • Experience in performance management and effective leadership.
  • Able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families, and government regulators, and to work cooperatively with others at all levels.
  • Demonstrates understanding of State and Federal regulations that govern the practices of the facility.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
