UNION POSITION- 19.19 PER HOUR (NON-NEGOTIABLE) Background Check Required
NO NIGHTS/WEEKENDS, and HOLIDAYS OFF!
8:30-4:30 M-F 35 HOUR WORK WEEK
Bilingual a plus!
Assists in planning and coordination of clinical services
Performs set-up and end-of-day duties
Obtains written consent, and health history, and gives required forms and instructions to clients
Provides for assessment of clients; gives educational and anticipatory guidance as appropriate; and documents such in the appropriate format
Administers and documents immunizations, TB testing, and laboratory screenings both on and offsite, must be able to perform lab draws
Maintains inventory of vaccine and supplies needed for clinics
Compiles statistical data; maintains accurate records; prepares reports/billing as required
Performs appropriate emergency response duties as required
Performs other duties as assigned
Personal Characteristics
Communicates effectively, orally and in writing, with office department personnel, clients, and community agencies. Displays a sensitive, caring, and courteous attitude. Is professional, mature, and self-controlled. Maintains strict confidentiality of client and office information. Displays organizational skills and ability to work flexibly and independently.
Education and Training
A licensed practical nurse in the State of Illinois; satisfactory completion of pharmacology if course not included in practical nurse core curriculum
Job Requirements
Current Illinois driver’s license; personal vehicle for use in carrying out required duties; auto liability insurance is mandatory. Requires vision adequate to read and analyze written/printed documents and for drawing and administering vaccines. Requires hearing and speech skills adequate to answer telephone calls and ability to communicate with clients and staff. Requires manual dexterity to perform diagnostic screenings and nursing procedures. Requires ability to follow verbal and written directions. Requires ability to perform computer data entry and retrieval. Demonstrates ability to lift and transport a thirty pound weight. Must be able to navigate stairs. Requires ability to respect and adapt readily to a variety of client/staff situations with maturity and emotional stability.
