Position: Finance Manager
Type: Full-time, Exempt
Reports to: Vice President/COO/CFO
Travel: Yes; local and occasional overnight travel including flights
Position SummaryThe Finance Manager will be responsible for the accurate and timely recording of revenues, expenditures, assets, and liabilities. This role requires managing cash flows, providing cash/financial projections, and ensuring the appropriate design of internal controls.
Essential Functions
- Lead in the timely processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Maintain and reconcile registrations for projects such as sponsorships and special events.
- Prepare financial and regulatory reports as required by law and the board of directors.
- Work with external auditors for annual reviews/audits.
- Perform financial administration of federal and state grants.
- Maintain and reconcile land sale/purchase transactions.
- Attend various meetings for financial representation.
- Assist in budget preparation, cash management, financial projections, and reaccreditation processes.
- Support in software administration and staff training.
- Assist with phone and front desk duties as needed.
- Preferred Accounting/Finance Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in managing multiple financial reports and project budgeting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and other industry-specific software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment.
- Confidentiality is crucial in all phases of this position.
