What You'll Do :

The Alternative Investments Associate I is responsible for working with the Alternative Investments Team ("Alts Team") on all aspects of NPT's alternative investments including onboarding, on-going fund related activities and reporting.

Position requires a hybrid work model with three days in-office per week. Salary range : $50,000 - $52,000.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Manage fund correspondence to determine actions required by the Alternative Investments Team.
• Use SalesForce to set up and track status of fund-related activities in progress and communicate deadlines to the Alternative Investments Team.
• Prepare quarterly reporting for the Investment Committee of NPT's Board of Trustees as well as account specific and ad hoc reports and analysis.
• Keep repository of all materials pertaining to NPT's alternative investments up to date.
• Assist with aggregation of data in advance of pending portfolio management system implementation.
• Support the preparation and development of alternative investment metrics.
• Complete documentation to facilitate NPT's investment in, divestment from, and responses to alternative investment fund recommendations.
• Review and post investment related recommendations for vote by NPT's Staff Investment Committee.
• Work closely with the Alternative Investments Team to ensure the timely resolution of donor, financial advisor or fund managers inquiries related to alternative investments.

What You Bring :

• Very detail oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Capable of meeting deadlines on multiple active transactions.
• Ability to adapt to variable volumes of work including periods of very high volume.
• Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Highly proficient in the suite of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Willingness to be a team player and capable of independent work.
• Have an inquisitive, investigative mindset, and be willing and able to "dig deeper," rather than accept information at face value.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, and exercise independent, sound judgment.
• Must possess unquestioned personal integrity and reliability; keep commitments, admit mistakes, accept responsibility for all team output and results, maintain confidentiality when necessary and appropriate, and act in the best interest of the organization at all times.

Education and Experience :

• College degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of and experience with alternative investments.
• Experience with SalesForce and Adobe Acrobat a plus.
